lyrics

Underneath our lips were swollen, subtle punches in our words
We’re peeling paint off of the dry-wall, lose our footing as we spiral, in
The room that we’d been sleeping in, the dogs that that we would keep,
It was a wreck. It was the smell.
Nah, pulling shifts till 3am and just to come back to that boring air.
I’m sick inside this house, I’m finding vibrators in couches.
Tired out, Unwired doubt. I was patient as shit for something else,
For someone else.

Sure, I was frustrated couldn’t tell if I was pasted or content.
Then you wash the floors with me, unlike our tasks ignored,
But what’s to get.

Two weeks and I am coughing up your photo,
It’s distorted for the better while I’m puking in the bathroom of some bar frequent,
Mornings were a struggle, lights would come in through the blinds.
I would cringe, then breath it in.

And I was frustrated, couldn’t tell if I was pasted or content.
The silence made us bloat up, with our hands against our throats,
We’d stomp it in.
The room just suffered more, it felt like we were rubbernecking at the wreck.
Then you would wash the floors with me, unlike our tasks ignored,
But what’s to get?

Two weeks and I am coughing up your photo,
It’s distorted for the better while I’m puking in the bathroom of some bar frequent
